Our Beliefs
At Risen Church, our core values guide us as we seek to follow Jesus with our whole lives. We use the simple framework of “Head, Shoulders, Knees, and Toes” to reflect how the Gospel shapes every aspect of who we are. This simple method helps us transform our minds, enriching our relationships, deepening our prayer lives, and direct our purpose.
Head
(Romans 12:2)
Transformed Minds – The Gospel reshapes the way we understand the world, guiding us to discover our identity in Christ through the truth of Scripture.
Shoulders (Hebrews 10:23-25)
Transformed Relationships – The Gospel is much more than just a philosophy, it impacts the way we treat other believers, people outside the church, and those that the world has abandoned. We are called to commit to community not simply for fellowship, but for building each other up towards maturity in Christ.
Knees
(Ephesians 3:14-19)
Transformed Prayer – The Gospel is not simply a set of beliefs added to our lives. It invites us into a deep and personal relationship with God. Through prayer, we come to know Him more fully and receive the strength to live on mission for His glory. At the heart of prayer is a continual dependence on the Holy Spirit, seeking to be filled and led as we participate in God’s work.
Toes

Transformed Purpose – the Gospel changes the actual places we go, and the reasons we go there. Risen is committed to the Great Commission: making disciples of all nations, engaging in local and global missions, and living our life solely for the purposes of God. We can’t add our faith to our lives, our faith becomes our very lives.
